You ever have one of those moments where things just work out wonderfully? They don’t happen terribly often for me, but I recently had one of those moments with The Beckoning Shadow. But first, let me tell you about this awesome sounding book…
The Beckoning Shadow
Author: Katharyn Blair
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Release Date: July 2nd, 2019
Synopsis: Vesper Montgomery can summon your worst fear and turn it into a reality—but she’s learned the hard way that it’s an addicting and dangerous power. One wrong move and you could hurt someone you love.
But when she earns a spot in the Tournament of the Unraveling, where competitors battle it out for a chance to rewrite the past, Vesper finally has a shot to reverse the mistakes that have changed her forever. She turns to Sam Hardy, a former MMA fighter who’s also carrying a tragedy he desperately wants to undo. However, helping heal Sam’s heart will mean breaking her own, and the competition forces her to master her powers—powers she has been terrified of since they destroyed her life.
I had originally been planning to write a WNW for The Beckoning Shadow for the last two weeks, but a major case of the blogging slumps has been plaguing me lately. But then the Instagram book tour company I work with sometimes, Storygram Tours, sent out tour signups and The Beckoning Shadow was one of the tours. Getting a tour is never guaranteed, but I had to try for this one and yesterday morning I was confirmed! I am so excited to be able to help promote this book!
This book sounds soooooooooo dang good to me! I secretly harbor a wish that I had learned how to fight and this book cover immediately spoke to that part of me. I love the paranormal aspect as well. And I’m a sucker for books that mention tragedy, especially when its a man with a tragedy. What? I have a type.
I cannot wait to have this book in my hands so I can read it! Be sure to check out the publisher’s website for pre-order links!
(Just in case it needs to be said, I will be receiving this book for free, but that has no influence over this post or my eventual review.)
